You can get this detector with either an 8″ or 10.5″ coil which is now hardwired to avoid leakage.
It uses 8 AA batteries which are included and has a drop in battery design that avoids lead breakage, and has a battery life of between 10-20 hours.
You can use silent search or adjustable audio threshold tone detection, what ever your preference is.
There are two mounting positions on the pole (for balance), and the control box is also hip mountable. This detector breaks down easily for transport or storage.
